LUCKNOW: Amid the rhythmic beats of the dholak and a gentle drizzle, women dressed in vibrant green attire, celebrating the spirit of Sawan, presented a soulful dance on the traditional Kajri song “Rimjhim Barsela Sawan Ke Badariya,” filling the atmosphere with an enchanting sense of greenery all around. The occasion was a Hariyali Teej programme organised this evening by Vaishnavi Nritya evam Sangeet Sansthan at C Block-3381, Rajajipuram, Lucknow.
Coordinated by Neha Verma, the event saw Shraddha Srivastava, Vaishnavi Verma, Priyanka Saxena, Vartika Singh, Roli, and Pari Verma perform on the popular number “Ranjana Aaya Sawan Jhoom Ke,” while Shivani Mishra, Aradhana, Priyanka Nigam, Kavita, Savita, and several other women showcased their natural talent through captivating dance performances set to various Sawan songs.
Earlier, the programme began with Chief Guest Mini Srivastava and Special Guest Priyanka jointly lighting the ceremonial lamp to mark the formal inauguration of the event.
